Ljudi širom svijeta svakodnevno su slušali i gledali da se izbjeglice sa Istoka dave u prenatrpanim brodovima, kamionima i autobusima. Da cijele zemlje prelaze pješice, da su umorni, jadni, ubogi...
Ali ni jedna do sada tužna priča nije ubola u srce bukvalno sve, kao fotografija trogodišnjeg dečaka čije beživotno tijelo je na plažu izbacilo more negdje u Turskoj.
Za razliku od stotina, pa čak hiljada njih koji su umrli i ostali zabilježeni samo kao broj, danas svi znaju ime dječaka sa potresne fotografije.
Ona nikoga nije ostavila ravnodušnim, a među prvima su na nju odreagovali umjetnici, inače senzibilniji na ljudske nevolje od drugih.
