Najmanje 205 Palestinaca i 17 izraelskih policajaca povrijeđeno je u sukobima tokom noći kod džamije Al Aksa i širom istočnog dijela Jerusalima, saopštili su izraelska policija i palestinski zvaničnici.

Izraelska policija ispalila je gumene metke i šok bombe na mlade osobe koje su ih gađale kamenicama kod džamije Al Aksa u Jerusalimu usljed protesta zbog potencijalnog izbacivanja Palestinaca iz kuća sa teritorije na kojoj su jevrejska naselja.
Tenzije su u porastu u Jerusalimu i okupiranoj Zapadnoj Obali tokom muslimanskog praznika ramazana i sukobi se dešavaju svake noći u naselju Šeik Džara gdje brojne palestinske porodice čeka deložacija.
SAD, UN, EU i Jordan su pozvali na uzdržanost, te saopštili da su uznemireni zbog eventualnog izbacivanja palestinskih porodica.
Policija je upotrebila vodeni top kako bi rastjerala više stotina demonstranata okupljenih nedaleko od kuća porodica koje se suočavaju sa deložacijama.
Pred izraelskim Vrhovnim sudom u ponedeljak će biti održan pretres u slučaju deložacija iz kvarta Šeik Džarah.
